4 digit 7 segment watch PCB design
Project details
I need a PCB designed for a 4-digit 7 segment watch
The round watch inner dimensions are 38mm diameter x 15mm depth. Given that the watch enclosure will be either
3D resin printed or CNC milled, there is some minor flexibility on the dimensions.
Required components are:
– 0.36” / 9.14mm 4-digit 7 segment LED
– Momentary button(s)
– Photoresister
– 3mm LED diode
All other components are at the designer’s discretion.
The 4-digit 7 segment LED will be positioned centrally both horizontally and vertically on the board.
The watch PCB must have either one or two horizontally facing buttons to change the time. Again, it is at the designer’s discretion on how the time is changed and where the buttons are located.
Time will be displayed only in the 24 hour time format
There will be a 3mm LED mounted in either the top left or right of the PCB coupled with a photoresister. If there is ambient light surrounding the watch, the LED will illuminate. e.g. When it’s daylight, the LED will be ON. When it is dark, the LED will be OFF.
A battery should also be included within the watch. It does not have to be rechargeable and could be a CR2032 or similar.
Assuming a chip like the ATMega168 or similar may be used, the code for the chip is also required.
Project deliverables:
– PCB design file
– Parts list
– Code for whatever chip is used
Attached are images of the 3D model and the layout of the 4 digit display and LED
