JOB: Finish Migrating WordPress Site to New VPS SERVER

Must know NameServers, DNS, DNS Zone
Must know Wordpress

THE CHALLENGE

I have a new VPS server set up with
I migrated the site files and DB to the new VPS server
I updated WP-Config with new user and DB names

THE PROBLEM
———————————

I cannot see the site using the dedicated IP: ~veteranstoday

Why?

Well, it seems to be some DNS ZONE or NAMESERVER conflict
I really don’t know for sure because I am a content creator NOT a server expert
So I probably set it up wrong!
I am sure it’s my fault 100%

So I need your help to set this up properly
Please fix this and get the site up and running

ACTIONS TO TAKE

PHASE 1

1. Check the Server, DNS Zone, Nameservers, etc…make sure the configuration is proper and resolved as needed
2. Check the DB setup, username, password, and connections
3. Check the WP-Config file to make sure it’s done correctly
4. Get the site up on the IP (~veteranstoday) so we can see that it’s up and working properly

PHASE 2

5. Once the site is up and working, you will need to download the latest DB from the old server, then upload it to a new server and replace the 4-day-old DB. In other words, we need to put the latest DB up on the site when we are ready to do the DNS changeover. Why? Because our site is dynamic and writers post daily. So we must have the latest DB
6. I will change the DNS on Cloudflare.
7. After 1 day of propagation, we check the site and performance. If working properly, we are done. If not, we tweak and optimize as needed; its possible that this VPS might need to be upgraded to a more powerful server. But we won’t know that until we put the actual site up and get the traffic. If needed, we can upgrade to next level, fast, within 20 minutes.
