This task involves building a 3D map for a virtual tour of a museum. The map needs to be delivered as a 3D model and as an isometric image. Any standard model format will be acceptable and the image needs to be a transparent png file. An example of the type of model and image can be seen from a previous tour accessed at the following link. The map can be opened and closed by the map node icon in the upper right. The image being used for the map has been included.



The tour using this map is in development, which can be seen in the link below. It is currently using a plan view as the navigation map, which will be replaced by the 3D model and image that you create. An Adobe Illustrator file of this floorplan is provided.



The 3D map should keep to the relative dimensions of the current floorplan, but dimensional accuracy of the model is not required, as the map will be used as a visual guide only. It would be nice to include some relevant stock 3D models (dinosaur models) in the floor plan to give it more dimension or appearance of depth, but that is not required. The objective is to provide a basic understanding of spatial awareness with a more sophisticated and engaging map. The plan view of the museum space uses distinct colors to differentiate exhibits. It would be desirable to replicate those same colors to keep with the current look.
