I need to create a new logo for the Dartmouth College Class of 88 — to be used on our class newsletter as well as other places.

This project involves creating a series of logo options (at least 20) for our leadership to choose from. Additionally, it involves creating at least 3 layout template designs in Adobe InDesign that our class newsletter editor can use to create our newsletters.

Dartmouth College is one of the oldest colleges in the Unites States, and is thus steeped in history. Some of the images that are used often include the lone pine, the letter “D”, the towers atop Baker Tower and Dartmouth Hall, the weather vane at the top of these towers, the bonfires, etc. All of these images (along with the current Class of 88 logo, other Dartmouth logos, and newsletters from other classes) can be found using this Dropbox link:



The logo to be designed should include something that is iconic about Dartmouth and the number “88” to signify our class. It should be in Dartmouth Green as the color.

I especially like what the Class of 1986 did for their logo and newsletter layout. Also the Class of 1983.

We are doing all of this to prepare for our 30th reunion coming up in June of 2018. Thus a “reunion logo” could be useful as well (see 5th reunion logo for comparison).
