We would like some help with getting started on an internal project where we want to change how Magento 2 calculates percentage discounts from coupon codes. We want these discounts to be calculated based on the store standard price, not the quote’s custom price.
What we require is a walkthrough of where and how the coupon discounts are calculated, in order for us to make either a plugin to modify the calculation, or a preference if needed. So for instance, which module, classes and methods to modify.
