You have been asked to assist with the installation, configuration and security of a small office network. The small office consists of two (2) users only.
The users in the office need to be able to complete the following tasks:
o Browse the internet.
o Create, edit and print Microsoft Office documents using Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
o Save documents on a device accessible by either user. This advice may also be used off-site after hours.
o A separate backup device will be used for backup purposes, which is not accessible except when the backup
is performed.
o The computers used will be required out of the office after hours. No internet activity will be required at
that time.
o Anti-virus protection will be required to help secure the computers
You are required to create a plan for the office network that includes:
o Identify client requirements
o The proposal of a network design o Developing the network design
o A list of the resource requirements o A client sign-off
Then you will install configure and test your network that includes:
o Creating an installation plan
o A list the steps you took to configure and install hardware and software o Testing documentation
o Final project documention.
